We’ve presented several tips and tricks on MS Excel in this website for you. Here’s another handy tip that you might find incredibly useful.
There are occasions when your excel sheet spreads across several columns and you may notice that some columns are cut off from the right because of default print configuration and paper width constraint.
Presented below is a screenshot of a sample excel sheet which spans several columns.
In order to print, hit Ctrl+P. Check the image below and see for yourself how does the print preview show the data.
Clearly it will cut off some columns from the right. Obviously you won’t like it because it’s not in an adequately presentable form. You just want to see all columns to be shown across the same page, instead of being cut off or spanned on another page.
It’s pretty darn simple to accomplish this. We’ve to follow two simple steps.
- Click Page Layout -> Orientation -> Landscape
- Click Page Layout
- From Scale To Fit section click Width drop-down and select 1 Page option instead of Automatic.
You’re all set. Now click Ctrl+P again and view the print preview area.
Cheers, and keep in touch to see more tips and tricks!
